...there's an elegant, tellingly regretful Sailor from Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson...

The biggest surprise was Eyjólfur EyjólfssonEyjólfur sang the main role in Karólína Eiríksdóttir's Shadowplay [last autumn at the same house] and proved himself to be, despite his young age, not only an excellent singer but also someone who has a very good stage presence. He reminded us of that when he appeared at the end of the opera and completely stole the scene in a rather small role of a pretentious dandy, which was truly masterfully done. Eyjólfur is clearly an upcoming star - if anyone is looking for those - and it will be exciting to follow his career in the future. Hopefully we'll see him soon in a bigger and more significant role at the Icelandic Opera.
